Discover Vancouver: Sarah Mulder’s Summer Adventures and Local Travel Tips

Sarah Mulder has been making the most of this summer, exploring local gems and discovering new adventures around Vancouver. From serene spa days to exciting island trips, she has a knack for finding the perfect spots to relax and enjoy the season. Here’s a peek into what Sarah has been up to and some fantastic ideas for your own summer adventures in Vancouver.

1. Cates Park Day Trip

Take a quick day trip to Cate’s Park for a refreshing dip with friends. It’s the perfect spot for a spontaneous summer outing.

2. Scandinave Spa in Whistler

Treat yourself to a relaxing spa day at the Scandinave Spa in Whistler. Stop by Squamish for a coffee and a bite before indulging in the hot and cold plunges to reset your nervous system.

3. Island Adventures

Get out of town with an Island trip... from Vancouver you can get to so many beautiful Islands in under 3 hours. They will make you feel like you are the only people around and a quick trip will open your eyes to the magic of BC.  Seaside adventures and forest wanders is the only thing to do this Summer, that's why we live here!

4. Rent a Boat

Feeling like the beaches are overcrowded? Why not rent a boat for a few hours with some friends and jump in the ocean to cool down. Pack some spritzers and a tube and relax in the pacific blue.

5. A Night at the PNE

This Vancouver classic opens August 17th for two weeks. Highlights for me have always been the Dole Whip, a bag of mini donuts, and a Summer Nights concert followed by the duelling pianos. Last year I walked through the haunted house and as cheesy as it was...it was so much fun to laugh out all the scaries and walk through with friends.

For me the PNE has always been about making some memories with friends. Fun fact the PNE was my first official job and I worked in the petting farm. The PNE was THE place for every East Van High School kid to get a summer job and everyone I knew worked there. It is pretty fun to reminisce with those same friends as we walk to grounds and tell each other stories.

6. Visit our Little Mountain Pop Up

Mark your calendars! Our Little Mountain Popup opens from September 2nd to September 15th at the Net Loft on Granville Island. Come down and discover an incredible selection of locally designed jewelry by female-led small businesses. Both Sarah Mulder Jewelry and Devi Arts Collective will be there with local wares. It’s been a very tough year on our small businesses, and it means the world to us right now that you are coming to support us during this time.

This event embodies community over collaboration, bringing together talented designers and dedicated supporters. We are here for you and we can’t wait for you to come down and visit us!

A note from Sarah Mulder

Hi everyone, Sarah here! I’m so excited to share these wonderful summer experiences with you and invite you to the Little Mountain Popup. Your support means everything to us, especially during these challenging times. Let’s come together to celebrate our community, enjoy some beautiful jewelry, and make lasting memories. See you there!
